BlogEngine.Net on Bootstrap

Finally i'm done converting my blog to use Bootstrap responsive design. Bootstrap provides all the necessary CSS and js to allow us quickly implement responsive design. Please try out my blog on different web browser sizes to see it in action.

For some reason, I can't remove my previous mobile theme from my blog setting. You'll still see the old black and white theme for mobile web browser. I'll resolve this asap, because, why do we need 2 different themes when we have responsive design? :)

Enabling Social Message Posting in Sitecore

Sitecore CMS 6.6

Social Connected 1.2

What happened:

Exception: Sitecore.Exceptions.AccessDeniedException
Message: Exception of type 'Sitecore.Exceptions.AccessDeniedException' was thrown.
Source: Sitecore.Social.Client
   at Sitecore.Social.Client.Publishing.UI.SocialCenter.OnLoad(EventArgs e)
   at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive()
   at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

If you need to grant the rights to post messages to Facebook (or other social media) to certain custom roles, here are the configurations:

1. At core database, allow the role to "Read" to the "Social" tab in Page Editor Ribbon.

/core/sitecore/content/Applications/WebEdit/Ribbons/WebEdit/Page Editor/Social/Messages/

2. Ensure that the custom role is members of "sitecore\Sitecore Client Social Authoring" role.

3. Ensure that the user is "IsAdministrator = checked" in the user profile.

Apparently the publishing dialog box checks for the item #2 and item#3 in the code.
